48 Hour Film Screening

I don’t mean to be pretentious

but is there anyone out there who wants to:

– Go to the Seattle Art Museum
– See the Impressionists Exhibit
– Take our time going through the halls
– Go out to the B&O Cafe
– Talk and just have a leisurely conversation

Am I asking too much?

I just want to talk about the use of negative space and what you think about its composition.
I want to ask why you think Pollack threw the blacks in or why most modern art is lame.
I want to be surprised that you know the difference between Monet and Renoir.
I want to talk about why you think Death Cab’s new album is better than their last.
I want you to tell me that you have been listening to something better.
I want to ask you what you think of the Cool Kids’ new album or what you think of
John Legend’s new song. Is Common’s new cd going to be any good? Do you even care?
I want to talk about the last book you read and why you think I should be reading it too.
I want you to tell me why or why not Anchorman isn’t as funny as Zoolander
I want you to tell me that my movie choices are lame because I take myself too seriously.

I just want to decompress with art, coffee and conversation.

Can we get a little group together?

Third time’s the charm, right?

Oh, Xanga…

It’s been a bit, hasn’t it?
I still haven’t finished my highlights of last year
(and there is so much to say in regards to this one)…

It goes without saying that I have been busy, and at the moment,
I am too tired to write anything meaningful, so I shall leave you with
this:

The test footage for the new camera that we will be using for the
48 Hour Film Project

Stay classy, Xanga

I promise I will return soon with (real) updates, rambles and pretentious insight…
because I know that you’ve missed ’em.
